Odd weather today. The weather app said it was 100% sunny and warm, but the smoke from the fires made it overcast and cool all day. Even with the smoke, the air quality was pretty good. We couldn’t smell smoke and could breathe fine.

Otherwise the walk was great. We had a decent size hill to climb but it wasn’t bad. It was very steep on the way down but it was on pavement so footing was good. Karen did take a tumble today on a dirt trail and is a little sore, but not too bad. She’s still able to continue on the Camino although she will surely be the butt of many jokes going forward.

Great New App…

We’re using “Splitwise” to track expenses. It’s fantastic if you’re paying as a group for many expenses like we are on this trip.

Each time someone pays for something, he/she enters it into Splitwise. Expenses are allocated and tracked automagically. Then at end of the trip it will tell each person what they owe and to whom. We can then pay each other with cash, Venmo or whatever we like.

When we eat together (which is nearly every meal), we just ask for one bill and one person pays it, because we know it will end up even at the end.
