Day 16 – Bardone

Backwards day.

Usually, I get started walking about 9AM, and arrive in the finishing town in the early afternoon. This gives me time to clean up, rest, explore and eat.

Today, my finishing town is a small village of about 100 people. No restaurants. No stores. No bars. No sites. No reason to get there early.

So, I left late, walked slowly, stopped for a long lunch, and even washed my clothes at a laundromat mid way. Then, I finally arrived at my lodging at 5PM.

No mud today, but I’m into the mountains tomorrow and the guidebook says there are some “slippery” sections. Fortunately, no more rain in the forecast.

Will be in Roma on October 16
The town of Fornovo di Taro. This was almost the halfway point. I ate lunch and did my laundry here.
I was on a lot of roads today. Mostly quiet, and some with amazing views.
He didn’t like the mud either
This is the view near where I’m staying. I’m really out in the middle of nowhere. Tomorrow I get to a big town… population 2000.
