Day 23 – Levanto/Lucca

The pilgrims all walked their own paths today.

A few decided to do some sightseeing.

A couple decided to do a shorter hike.

Three of us decided to do a longer hike.

Everyone had a great day.

Jeff, Abbey and I did the longer hike and loved it. It was physically demanding but had many wonderful views and we felt a real sense of accomplishment when we were done.

After lunchtime, the whole group met up at the train station and we caught a train to Lucca. We are staying at a fantastic apartment in Lucca that we all love. Tonight, we went out to the best dinner so far.

Rest day tomorrow. That’s good, because we’re all excited to explore Lucca.

  1. Bill, say a little about the paths you are walking on this week. Some of them look like they are no more than 2-3 feet wide.

  2. Lucca is so cute… please please please rent one of those silly pedal buggy/bikes and go around the top of the wall!!! And get a photo of course 😉

  3. wonderful pictures. Such beautiful views. love the food pictures. Beef, rabbit, deer on one menu, oh my!

  4. Lucca is a beautiful town! Love the bell tower with the trees growing out of it. Lovely photos!
