Day 24 – Lucca (Rest Day)

After a few days of challenging hikes along the coast, we’ve moved back onto the official Via Francigena route.

Today was a rest day which means laundry and sightseeing. We climbed two towers, biked the city wall and Jeff and Arielle took a walking tour. Fun and beautiful day.

Do we look like tourists? We had so much fun that we biked around the city twice.
The city walls are still intact and fully surround the old town. The walls date back to the 1500s.

  1. Yay for pedaling around the wall!!!
    🤩👏🏻

I’ll have to think of more requests since you clearly did this for me 😎

    • Such beautiful buildings. Group biking looks to be a popular activity there. Nice bell sounds Ali!! Tagliere for breakfast! That’s the way to go.
