Day 26 – Gambassi Terme

Challenging. Beautiful. Difficult. Stunning. Long. Rewarding. Tiring. Wonderful.

That about covers today’s walk. Some of the best scenery so far, but a long hilly hike. So, we earned every beautiful view.

It was quintessential Tuscany. Hills. Vineyards. Olive trees. Peaceful dirt roads. Everything we hoped for. More of the same expected tomorrow.

The pilgrims as we headed out in the morning. (Jeff and Arielle decided to sleep in and start later than the rest of us today.)

Wrobleskis
Nearly the entire walk was dirt roads. It’s the perfect surface. Soft. Easy on the feet. Good footing. Plenty of room.
Hours and hours of great views. A fantastic stage.
The vineyards were beautiful and plentiful
All the grapes have been picked for the season, so no chance to taste them
