Well, actually just a challenging bus ride. It added some stress to my morning but ended up working out in the end, although I had doubts. (Watch video for more details.)
This evening, I’m in the charming village of Radicofani. It’s very small but has beautiful stone buildings and features great views of the countryside.

This town is beautiful.I took a bus to this town, Campiglia d’Orcia, then walked several miles to the official Via Francigena route. My busRadicofani in the distance. The tower at the top of the mountain is Radicofani Fortress.Not surprisingly, remnants of old Roman roads are a regular sight on the Via FrancigenaGoing through cow withdrawal? Sorry. I guess this land is so valuable for crops, that there isn’t room to graze many cows. Success after a long climbRadicofani is gorgeous I walked an extra two kilometers up to the Radicofani Fortress. Great views.
