Today was easier than yesterday but I still covered 16 miles with about 1100 vertical climb.
Tomorrow will be the toughest I have faced since the Pyrenees. After that though, the last week should be a bit easier.
Bill, what do your fellow pilgrims love and dislike about the Camino?
The number one complaint of pilgrims is blisters. Many people have them, but generally they can be avoided with the right shoes, socks and proactive care of your feet.
Other complaints are… flies, the repetitive pilgrims’ menu offered by many restaurants, and snoring (for those folks in dorm sleeping arrangements).
The number one thing people love about the Camino is the social interaction among the pilgrims. It amazes everyone how quickly you get to know other pilgrims. After a few days people feel like life long friends. We talk about how cool this is, all the time. It’s hard to fully appreciate this aspect of the Camino until you’re out here walking for a while.

Bill – I am proud of you. Keep it up and finish strong.
I was wondering if your pilgrim friends have had any comments on who is going to win the Michigan / Penn State game this weekend? I am sure your followers would be curious. Be good my friend and keep the faith.
It’s unanimous… Michigan! Go Blue!
